I rarely ever let my tank go below 1/3rd of a tank not only because I try to keep it topped up at all times, but also having some knowledge that running low often can overheat submerged fuel pumps. However, the other day, I let my fuel go to 1/4 tank, and as I was pulling off the freeway to get gas, my check engine light and ABS light came on. I remember my car doing that about a 1/2 year ago... but didn't see any correlation until now.... both times, the lights went out after pulling away from the gas station. Strange correlation I know, but has anyone else experienced a simultaneous check engine light and ABS light when the needle hits exactly the 1/4 tank line? I think it's related, but I can't fathom how that could possibly be? I searched a couple of car related boards and there does seem to be a few cases where the fuel level hitting the quarter tank line causes a few glitches.
