1999 V reg 3.2 v8 sport. I need 2 rear shock absorbers but not sure what type....are they adaptive or ordinary top pin and bottom eye.

 

You need to determine your suspension first. Is it CATS (Computer Active Technology Suspension, just look to see if you have a wire on top of each of your front shock post mounts) or Sports or Comfort ride. Here's a thread for review, https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-x-3-a-182903/
Also, you'll most assuredly need new damper bushings.

 

Also replace the spring seats and isolators.
