Default Rear wheel arches repair

Hi all,
If a x308/300 had rust on the rear wheel-arches what can you to. Is there any repai section for it or looking for a good pieace from scrapyard? Sombody tells me that the XJ40 repair section could function, ist this true?

I just bought a rear quarter panel to do just what you're asking; the tin worm hasn't touched the rocker panel yet...so, just going to cut out the bad section, splice in the new part of the arch, weld, etc.

Well, I'm not going to, but my body shop has the piece he needs. Got it off a wreck in Texas (where the chance it's rusted is less than here in the rust belt of PA) and includes past the seam where the door edge trim mounts and part of the inner wheel well. He'll also make sure to Waxoyl the inner rocker, etc, close up the wheel well, paint with truck bed liner (very resilient to chipping...) and then re-undercoat after steam cleaning and scrubbing the wheel well.

Should be good for another 14 years when he's done.
