Removal of center dash wood trim
The wood trim around the center vent in my dash has some wear on it and I wanted to have it restored to match the other pieces.
I was wondering how to remove this piece? Does it snap out or perhaps does it unscrew from the back side.
Thanks,
RGW

Snaps in using spring clips at the corners, but BE CAREFUL. These clips are way too large and the force needed to unspring them often cracks the clearcoat at the thinnest areas. Use a plastic pry tool and gently work off each corner a little at a time.
Best,
Best,
Thanks for the suggestions. I was very careful and yes it popped right out for me.
On another note, is there a good product for waxing/polishing all the nice wood trim on the dash and door panels? The trim still looks good from a distance but it doesn't have that smooth shine that it once did.

Yes, use a good quality car wax. My preference is Zymol, which I also use on the body panels. The wood panels are real wood veneer, with a thick clearcoat similar to the clearcoat found on paint. Treat it as such and you'll be fine.
