a bit of searching on Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market people probably didn't buy it because of the toasty top. It was marked burned, but I asked for some pictures and the bottom end looks ok so I figured I'll risk it and swap the top parts from my existing engine.

 

I imagine there would be a forever burned smell with that one.

What is the going rate of used XJR engines anyway?
