Default Repositioning the Brake pedal, anybody done so?

Have anybody figure on how to move the brake pedal a little to the left about a inch or so.

I have big feet and I am always hitting the brake pedal, to the point it is really annoying me.

I haven't look at the assembly, if it is metal, was thinking about cutting and rewelding the platform about a inch over to give me more acceleration room.

Have anybody done so?

it can be done, it comes out by unbolting up inside the footwell bulkhead and in the engine bay, about 8 nyloc nuts, it's steel so can be cut and rewelded. The gas pedal is plastic though.

Haven't done it to an XJ, but a few E Types....
