right hand blower not working

evening all. The right hand blower on my 99 x308 hasn't worked since i bought it but it was only recently I even realised the thing had two motors in it and hence only just realised I had a problem and actually a jaguar should throw out a fair whack of cabin air! any way, I put a volt meter on both motor inputs and voltage is only going to the left hand motor. I checked the fuse for the rh blower behind the heel board and the fuse is fine so I'm at a loss as to what's up. Any idea where I should look next? is there enough spare amps in the circuit to wire the lh and rh motors in parallel or is that likely to blow a fuse? and why couldn't jaguar just have fitted one blinking motor in the first place lol!!!
Jaguar has had 2 blower motors since the 70's. Don't worry, be happy. Rover's had a third, one for the heater as well! They've cut back down to just 2 again.
Try direct wiring it to the battery and see if the blower does in fact work. It's a place to start.
