Scrap value of engine block
For reference:
I tore down the block I had with a thrown rod (there was NO salvageable parts except the oil pan- all mayhem had broken loose) and here is what I got for it:
79 lbs "dirty" aluminum .15/lb
27 lbs "clean" aluminum .50/lb
$25 +/-
I was looking for this earlier and couldn't find it so I thought it might be helpful.

The idea for a scrap block could be a coffee table, using led's to light up the bores - a wooden base and beveled glass for the top....a la 'top gear table'....(that's a Jag V12)
