Seat warmers not working

Seat warmers not working
I purchased my 01' XJR in 2008 and the seat warmers (front and back) have never worked. What should I check first to make sure it's not a simple fix? I imagine actually having to replace the warmers is very expensive.
What do you mean when you say they never worked. Do the switches light up?
