I recently changed my serpentine belt (it was the original one from 01) which stopped the cold morning squeals, however I noticed an interesting observation that I wasn’t aware might have an effect on.

I knew I had to do a balance (preferably with the hunter equipment) and a wheel alignment (steering wheel shakes 50-55mph) but ever since I changed the belt the steering shakes have noticeably decreased. i would like to hear others experience regarding this? Not sure if its pure coincidence but all I know is after the belt change the steering is much better!

 

Serpentine belt can slip without squeal. It can be felt especially with power steering. It feels un even steering assist and maybe onf off style assist.
