drive belt
power steering drive belt has this no on the o/d 13 x1075 when fitting this belt its a right pita there is not enough adjustment to make it an easy fit
and the filler for the steering reservoir is obscured by the top hose, the one I have fitted is jaguar its just short
what no. would make the belt an inch longer?

You have to tighten it all the way down. Not to sound smart but an inch longer would be a 14x1075
here is a chart in regards to numbers and specifications

The "13" is the belt "V" section, NOTHING to do with the length. It is the width of the TOP of the "V" in Millimeters. Some languages call it the "profile", dunno why. Same as an 11A belt is narrower, being 11 mm across the top of the "V".
The "1075" is the length in Millimeters.
I have AWAYS used a 13A1090 in that application. Steer cap is still a MONGREL, but not as bad as that short sucker would make it.

yeah somehow i glanced at that chart quickly and managed to get lost on a line that was only about 2 inches long lol.
other than getting a different belt, removing the tensioner and cleaning the threads helps a lot. most of the reason mine took so long to move back and forth was that it required wrenches either way, because it was so dirty

yeah i recently purchased some ratcheting wrenches to make changing belts easier. I can't use any of them, the throw is too long and the wrenches themselves are too long. Flat by flat by stupid flat....
Its always the damn alternator belt too.
the PS does seem to be the worst to get on an off though, it has to be as tight as possible.
Why jaguar provided 4 lightyears of extra bolt so no one can use a socket I haven't got the slightest clue
