Should I add H2O?
My low coolant warning comes on intermittently and I noticed that my coolant level is a few inches below the absolute top.
Should I add water? I don't have time to run out to get coolant right now.

The coolant should be right at the bottom of the neck. In other words about a half inch from the outer lip, so you are definitely low.
Water is fine, certainly better than running low on coolant. If you are running the specified Dexcool, it should be available almost anywhere including gas stations.
The problem with adding straight water is that it dilutes your mix. Much better to always carry a quart or so of premix or full strength.

Thanks for the help, I decided to get up early and get some Dexcool 50/50 from AdvanceAutoParts -- ordered online, picked up on the way to work. Drove 20 miles to work without adding the coolant. Did not get the low coolant warning on the way to work. I filled it after it sat in the parking lot for a couple hours. Will have to keep an eye on it to see if I have a leak somewhere. I've had the car since April and don't remember EVER checking the coolant level -- shame on me. So I don't have a baseline to work from.
and if youre out in the boonies and running low and overheating, urine works too. just need good aim and a desolate area. I meen people would honk if youre on top of your Jaguar with your pants down pissin on it.
Hmmm, Brutal, this gives new meaning to 'flushing' your cooling system
