side marker lamps will not go off
HI,
Got a 99 xj8, I have tried everything but cannot get the side marker lamps to shut off on my xj8. I guessing I may have a faulty switch? I have tried shutting everything, locking car, turning all light switches off. I wait and the lights will never go off. Right now I have to disconnect the battery otherwise it gets drained.The light switch seems to turn the other lights on ok but whenI turn it to off it won't shut off the side markers. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hey i had the same problem yesterday with my hazard lights and this is what i did. I waited for my battery to drain, then i jump started it with another car's battery thats one option. If all 4 side markes won't shut off then try this. Or you can do this. Take some electrical contact cleaner and spray the hazard switch while turning it on and off. Then reconnect the battery cable. The secon option is only if youre having problems with the hazard lights. You can also disconnect the batery cables wait some time and then put them on the battery again maybe that can fix the problem. Best Regards Angel
