I am planning to drive about 4,000 miles in August (vacation), and of course my car "knows" it so here I am two weeks prior to my departure and little things start to happen -- this thread is about the brakes, so I'll refrain from mentioning the other issues! LOL

Two simple questions.

1. Today for the first time I noticed the steering wheel turned a bit to the right as I applied the brakes while going about 20-30 mph. What would cause that and how can I fix it?

2. My parking brake lever has always (since I got the car in April) "rested" in the off position with the button popped out but the lever being a small distance from the lowest position. If I press the button, the lever goes down just a small bit. Is this normal or is my parking brake in need of adjustment?
