I keep a check on the forum pretty much every day and share and sympathize with the issues that people have and use those pointers to keep a check on my issues.
Things can go right though, and I wanted to report in after a great trip up the California coast, highway 1, especially between Bodega Bay to Mendocino.
The road and scenery were stunning and on a 1000 mile trip, every thing worked and nothing broke or errored with some quite spirited driving.

• Engine and super charger purred and pushed
• Gearbox changed up and down on demand
• Cooling system kept all in check
• Heating and AC kept us comfortable
• Suspension absorbed irregularities
• Sun roof opened and closed
• Doors opened and shut
• Used no oil, but used 3 tanks of gas

I am sure that no future surprises will spring up and I feel confident to report that we can drive and enjoy and not have any issues. We just need to pay attention to the sounds and smells and keep on top of maintenance

All in all, people and car had a great trip and would recommend the drive up highway 1 of the Californian coast.

I've made the drive MANY times, but never in my XJR. You've given me the bug, so now I will need to make the trip.

We've taken the Harley MANY times, my wife's VW Convert a few times, and over the years, I've driven dozens of different vehicles up and down the coast.

California Native, born and raised. Lived in Petaluma for 20ish years, so had great access to the Coast and spent a LOT of time there.
