Default Splice header

2002 XJR, BPM - I see this "splice header" component (CA223) being fed power from fuse # 8 (5a) in the LH heelboard fuse box. This power is then supposed to be shared by CA223 to circuit 11.1 (steering column) and to circuit 12.1 (driver seat switch pack). However, although CA223 is actually getting power from fuse # 8, neither of the two circuits is getting the power from CA223, they're both dead.

Anybody knows something about CA223? - In the diagram it is shown with one pin input and two pins for output, yet it is called a "20-way Sumitomo splice header". It appears that it's causing a problem, but I have no idea what I replace it with, I don't even know what to look for.

Help! Thank you

Says they are non-serviceable, one thing says RH heelboard/heelboard cover, but the wiring diagram shows LH. So not sure what side of the car it's on, I'd assume left since both components are in there.

If you have power to the fuse but not the components, it's worth checking at that header connector. it should just be a bar across the pins that shares power.

Can't be fixed, not designed to be taken apart. Throw it away & fit a new one.

Any & all of the above really, how true it is varies on the part involved & I've no knowledge of that one.
