Cannot get power to the heater or the wipers
Hi Everyone.
I am here again on behalf of my boss. For those who haven't seen my introduction, he is doing up a 1967 mk2, 340. model. It is his hobby for his semi-retirement, he has done one previous to this. Anyway he has asked me to ask if anyone has any suggestions to the following problem. CANNOT GET POWER TO THE HEATER OR THE WIPERS ANY SUGGESTIONS. HAVE CHECKED OBVIOUS CONNECTIONS, ALL OTHER CIRCUITS WORKING.
Thank you in advance for any assistance.
Joanne

Not being sure of what you have tested to date, I'd suggest the following.
Determine with a test light or voltmeter if you have power at the device. If yes, the device is probably defective, if no...
Determine if you have power at the switch. If yes, either the switch is defective or the connections/wiring to the device are not good. If no...
Determine if you have power at the fuse on the fuse box for that device (use your wiring diagram to determine which node on the fuse box to check). If no power on the output side, the fuse is probably blown or the connections are corroded. If no power on the input side, check the connections at the fuse box. If good, trace the wiring back to the power source and test there.
There is no magic to finding electrical problems. Just narrow down the source of the problem and correct it.
