Get it dried out Izabelle and hopefully you won't have any more issues...........you can try any / all of the procedures in the above posts of this thread...................a pressure washer in the engine compartment is bad news all round, for future info as I'm sure you now know.

I recently detailed my sons engine bay using "gunk" degreaser, fairly liquid or "dawn" dish washing liquid I think you guys call it.
This with a bucket of hot soapy water, a 2" paint brush and a garden hose used sparingly and the engine looks almost as good as new.

Did this on both my sons Clios, Vauxhall Astra, Vauxhall Vectra, VW Passat and Audi A6 all with zero issues.

Dear Jim - thanks. FYI - I'm new at this - having a Jaguar is somewhat intimidating - they are so needy!!! I've been driving BMWs for most of my adult life - basically you get in and go, at least that was my experience. I have a lot to learn, but I'm feeling better now that I know I can sign on to this forum for support.

Beamers are great cars and jags are too but they are a bit "needy" but are very nice and rare and with care they will take care of you like any other car.
