Default spring cleaning...

If you live in the Northeast you might think I'm an optimist but since warm weather has got to be just around the corner (or two) I'm making my list of Jaguar things to do ahead of getting my 99 XJR out of its winter slumber. I'm already planning on pulling the valve covers to repair some oil leaks & check status of chains & tensioners (spark plug change as well).
I'm also thinking about pulling the supercharger so I can change the oil (completely). Are there cooling hoses that the supercharger blocks access to that I should consider with 90k & almost 20 years on the clock for the old girl? Any other tasks that makes sense to plan for while I'm in this far?
If I'm pulling coolant hoses a fluid change is probably in order as well, what's the favorite flavor of antifreeze to use in these big cats? Do we need any sealers added or just straight antifreeze?
Thanks.

There are 2 lines that run under the SC that are highly recommended you replace if your going to pull it or even if your not.
I wouldn't pull it just to do the oil, unless your bored? Check this thread out, posts #35 and #36 will make it a lot easier... https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...y-85828/page2/
Your owners manual will tell you your coolant type.
As for any other tasks, I very highly recommend battery test if she's just been sitting. If you use a battery tender, you should be good. Check cables, grounds and look for corrosion.

+1 to above, and never use sealing additives in the cooling system. There have been many changes to coolant specs over the years, and many opinions as to what is correct. Do a search to get the latest information.

I've seen a couple of hoses that run under a portion of the intercooler but is that the only part that has to come off to get access or is there something that the blower itself actually blocks? When I first started visiting the board I saw the supercharger drain posts and made up my own syringe adapter and picked up a couple of 4 oz bottles of GM lube. It was the coolant pipe under the blower issue that had me thinking I should pull it off...

The coolant hoses are under the blower.
