I saw a thread the other day about a squeaky center console lid, but I can't find it now. I don't think it was specific to the X308, however.

Mine squeaks when I lean against it. It squeaks when I press on the top with the lid open or closed.

So, I took the lid off to see if I could tighten anything up but I was not able to remove the leather padded part from the interior plastic under-lid. I decided to leave well-enough alone and put it back together before I broke anything! I can live with the squeak, but would rather not have to listen to it (I know, turn the radio up! LOL).

Any suggestions?

 

Mine was also squeaking whenever I leaned against it. I disassembled everything. including the top and the entire cup holder mechanism. Then I glued every part back together during re-assembly using silicone caulk. Took a little while but nothing squeaks anymore, not even the if you push on the front cupholder assembly.

You could try just the top 1st, that is the easy part
