Default Steering column memory not storing...

So every time I unlock the doors with my fob my steering wheel moves down and out. Makes the car almost impossible to get into. I don't know what "position" this fob was in so I reset all three memory buttons to where I like it without changing anything. The other weird thing the wheel does is that it only moves up a little bit when I push the toggle, then stops. I essentially have to bump...bump...bump... it back into driving position.

Is my fob not programmed for 1,2, or 3? Or is there a module like for the seats and windows that has failed?\

2000 VDP

Thanks

The Fobs can ONLY be set for positions 1 and 2. #3 is by switchpack button only.

Sounds like the position sensor in the tilt motor assy is faulty.

I will post these TSBs again.

Gus likely has ALL the TSBs I uploaded to this site but he has them organized.
