Default Super 8 tires

I need to buy new tires for my 2002 Super 8. I have Pirelli P6000 Powergy OEM on the car currently. They are $330 each and I would like to know if anyone else is having success with another tire. When I bought the car it had Goodyear's on it and the car did not ride nicely. I was told I had to put the OEM tires back on it so I did. The ride was much nicer. Is this the only tire for this car?

Mine has Toyo Proxes T-1 on it, and it rides fine.

Frankly, I dislike both Pirellis and Michelins and have fitted Yokohamas to my car
the last two times with great success.
The first set was Av DB Decibels which have been replaced by their Advan range.
These tyres are rated at 102W, well over the prescribed level
Being a supercharged car and depending on how much you use the availabl;e performance
will dictate what tyres you fit.
Both Hancooks and Khumo and Toyo produce good tyres that will meet the specs.
Check out tire rack for varrious choices ;o)

I have Continental extreme contact DWS on mine and I am very happy with them. They are very quiet and handle well in the rain. A little under $150 each on the web

Consider climate and weather in which you drive. I have Pirelli P-zeroes which are great on dry pavement but let a single snowflake touch the ground and they turn into toboggans.

Kumho LE 255/40r18s on mine, great summer tire but as with other max performance summer tire the life span sucks. A tad bit firmer over the bumps then the conties the car came with but much quieter and they don't roll over onto the sidewalls as much.

Thank you all for the varied info. It might help to give a little more info.
I do not drive this car hard and I am in Florida so there are few curves, hills and no snow. Rain is in issue during certain times of the year and it's always hot.
I am looking for a quiet, comfortable ride.
The OEM on this car was Pirelli 6000 Powergy 235/ZR50/17. I have stuck with this size and Jaguar tells me this is the only good tire for this car. Yet, it seems like many of you have gone elsewhere for tires. Thoughts?
