Supercharger upper pulley torque specs- help!
I was planning on replacing my upper supercharger pulley on my 1999 XJR for a 6% increase model. My question is does anyone know the proper torque for the upper pulley once I put a new one on? Also will the belt hold the pulley tight enough to torque it down or is there a better way to hold it without trying to jam the impellers which I'm sure is a bad idea.
I have tried searching the workshop manual and through the forum but I can't find these torques specs anywhere. Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you!

Its a press fit no bolt, and you have to clearance the snout for it to fit which you can either remove the sc and have it machined or spend alot of time with a die grinder or dremel. There are tools you can buy or borrow to press old one off and new one on or if removed have the machine shop do it all

You probably refer to the M8 centre bolt with a large washer. Use some threadlock on it and torque to 26 NM (convert to Lbf.ft if you prefer). I recently installed a 6% pulley on the supercharger of my 1999 Super V8 and did not need to machine the snout. Just in case, I smoothened the surface of the snout casting over which the pulley sits with sandpaper.

The reason there is no Jaguar factory torque spec is because there is no reason for a dealer tech to remove the bolt. The SC comes with it already installed and there are no 'user-serviceable' parts offered for sale by the dealer. (call Eaton??)
There are charts and universal industry torque specs for common bolts/fasteners.
When I went to A&P school, FAA had torque charts for fasteners by grade, length, thread pitch..........
Use the industry standard unless specific application dictates otherwise.
