There needs to be a day set aside called disconnect the battery wait three minute
That seems to fix so much. My driver window failed I could hear a click so I did that disconnect the battery wait three minutes reconnect the battery and it fixes itself.

My XJ8 (X308) sometimes does the 'window click but no movement' thing after sitting a while (weeks?) and I just remove the fuse for the door modules and it does the same thing except the ECM does NOT need to have all the readiness test to be redone.
Maybe it's just a bill gates WINDOWS-THING? (just reboot the computer to get Windows working again)
