OUScooby....you are certainly going though a steep
learning curve and I hope all things turn out well in the end.
I have followed your thread since 2016 and indeed has been fraught with a few problems
which I'm sure you will put down to experiences both good and bad.
Let's hope it all comes out well in the end and you get to enjoy the reason
these superb cars were designed in the first place ;o)

So one final update to this story. After getting the car back together and getting ti running smoothly I was never able to complete my registration to be able to drive it on the road legally. I could not take the smog test required to complete my registration because I could not get the readiness monitors on the ECU to turn over to ready. I tried every drive cycle I read about here and put over 1000 miles on the car trying to get the readiness monitors to pass (which is a very annoying task to do when don't have valid plates on the car and can only drive on one day moving passes from the DMV). I'm not even sure where the problem was that was preventing the readiness because I could not get it to throw a CEL or DTC. If I had a DTC it would at least point me int the direction of where to look to fix something but at this point I was out of thing to try diagnose and out of patients with this car. I was tired of throwing good money after bad with this so on Friday I took the car to CarMax and accepted their offer of $2000.
Many thanks to everyone who helped me on this journey. I may not have been able to complete it but I did learn much along the way, and I still really like these car and they way they look and drive. But I don't think I'll be trying my hand at owning one again. I wish things had worked out differently but this is where my story with this car comes to a close.
Thanks again everyone!
