Default Timing Chains and OBDII

According to the dealer TSB, if the tensioner saddle or slide breaks on my 2000 XJ8, it will make a rattling noise at idle as well as startup. My makes a minor noise when it starts and lasts a second. It sounds like some other cars that I have had that done the same thing. What has others experienced. I might try to record the sound so everyone can hear it. My other question is, where is the OBDII connector to hook the scan tool up at?

Default RE: Timing Chains and OBDII

According to OBDII standards in order to comply , it must be located with in 1 foot of steering column ….be accessible and visible with out removing any thing….Your is just under the dash between steering column, right side and next to center console …. Above and back from the gas pedal …its gray and D shaped …you can easily see it from a kneeling position with the drivers door open looking under dash
