Default Tire Dilemma

I have three Bridgestone Turanza Serenity tires on my 2003 XJ8 (the 4th one wore out so I put the mismatched spare on).

This is the problem -- Bridgestone no longer makes the Serenity, they have replaced it (I think) with the Serenity Plus.

Can anyone give me advice on this? Should I get one "Plus" or will I be wishing I had splurged and gone for 4 new tires? I don't need 4 new tires, so it would be an expense that's not needed.

Please let me know your thoughts.

I went through that problem with my Expedition and a set of Revo's so I had them install 2 of the tires that were the replacements, no problem and they looked close to the same. I am running the pluse's on my XJ8 and love them.

I would put two new tires on the same axle. Unless you start sliding around corners with the ASC off, you probably will not notice the difference.

I agree with RJ, just buy an axle pair of the new tires if the matched pair are still in good shape. Then use the third good Serenity for a spare.
