Default Tires for '99 VDP

Replacing the tires on my 1999 VDP base vehicle. Looking for a smooth and quite ride, not concerned with how long they last as long as the track well. Anyone have a suggestion on what might be best?

Where are you?

If US explore Tire Rack. Mileage and price not an issue: Pirelli.

Michelin Pilot Super Sports, best performance tire I've ever driven on....only issue is I only got 9500 out of them.

As you state that ride and comfort are you primary concerns, I'd suggest staying away from the more sport-oriented tires like the Super Sports.

I'd suggest a high performance all season tire from one of the major manufacturers.

It's looking like choice is getting quite limited in your tire size.

It seems that all the tire selection tools expect the X308 to need W-rated tires, which restricts the choice. If you can settle for V rated, you can get the excellent Pirelli Cinturatos. W is 168mph, V is 149. I very much doubt that you're going to exceed 149 mph.

I'm riding on Goodyear Eagles at this time, they're descent for comfort. They don't stack up to the Pilot Sports for handling, but they do have more sidewall for a smoother ride.

I am in love with my Pirelli P7 cinturato's. I don't remember the speed rating on them, however, I know there was a V rated one available in my size, it was just twice the price (roughly $250/ea)
