Default Tires on XJ8

I would like to know what variety of brands and sizes of tires tires are popular to put on your XJ8.

That depends on your wheels, ...penta, asteroid, after market, etc... There are many brands available and are for you to decide, but I would recommend staying away from aggressive tire patterns like Goodyear Eagles and look toward Michelin AS 3+ or the like. If you go to tirerack.com, find your size, then you'll get a list of available brands and sizes. Prompt one that interests you, then when the info loads, usually under it will be a comparison video of at least 2 other manufacturer makes for your review.
It may take a bit to do the comparisons, but in the long run, you'll be more knowledgeable.

I put the NEXEN N Fera SU1 235/50 R17 on my SOLAR Wheels and they look really nice.
They are good for heavy loads and speeds that would cause any traffic cop to dance a Jig on my drivers licence if they catch me..

Nexen is a good mid range tyre with really ok quality and fair price. On a Daimler... they could maybe have been a tad quieter..

I installed Pirelli Cinturato P7 All-Seasons Plus and like them. They were dinged in some reviews for being not so good for wet traction, but I haven't noticed anything like that.
