They have totalled this perfect XJ8. Not one scratch, perfect interior, Perfect mechanically with tensioners completed 10k ago. 120K. Very sad day.

 

Was this car located in Mount Pleasant, SC at any time? Looks familiar.

Find out what they are going to pay you, and have them show you where they are getting their figures. My car was "totaled" back in August due to some vandalism(scratches and a whole lot of dents, thankfully PDR and work on my part, it looks as good as new). Initial figures were between 7-8k. After pointing out everything that they assumed would be average(interior including carpeting, mechanical, tires etc etc and the paint that wasn't damaged) I got them back up to 11500 after showing receipts for work and using ads to compare and contrast. I "bought" the car back for 2500. Clean title and back to perfect.

Do you homework and reach out to the forum. You may even be ahead to buy it back and have it fixed or part it out. It looks beautiful.

That sure seems a shame. It looks like most of the damage is confined to one rear door. Maybe the frame is bent ?
