I've been having some trans issues lately (mostly related to the PRV & A-Clutch Drum). Thinking of doing a swap, rather than rebuilding the one I have.

I have another ZF5HP24 with about 88k miles on it (no work done to it at all) and I would rather not put another one on this car...


I have potentially an available tranny from a 1997 XJ6 with 211,000 miles on it (it was rebuilt about 800 miles ago)... Is there any possibility to sway these transmissions without having to retrofit anything?

The XJ6 unit is a 4HP24 and will not work. Your other 5HP24 may be okay, but I would at least change the main pressure valve.
