Trans will not downshift with pedal to the floor
The car rides beautifully and will up-shift through the gears no problem. The issue comes when with I mash on the gas and the trans will not drop down to a lower gear. It revs to red line and feels like it slipping between 5th and neutral. If I let up off the gas to around 4500 RPM it will drop and into 4th and I can mash the pedal again to get the speed i need. I just filled the transmission with fluid so its not low. What could be causing this?
Thanks

Yup, I followed those instructions to the letter. I'm wondering if I let too much fluid drain while I was fumbling with the plug. Burned my hand up good too while in the process. I think I'll go through the steps again and maybe invest in that dip stick adapter I have read about.
Tried something new today. I needed to pass a truck but was a worried that I couldn't get the power in time. I moved the shifter to 4th manually and it dropped gears instantly and off I went. The transmission seems to be fine but there is something with the auto kickdown that is just not working. Where should I begin trouble shooting now?
