Interesting. I've been involved in NCRS and MCA. I've seen lots of tags but never seen that one. One thing I have noticed is that vintage cars that sit for more than about that long tend to leak, even with a fresh rebuild and all new seals, especially automagic transmissions. I wish I could plug my cars into a "seal maintainer" as well as a battery maintainer.

I've never seen one either nor can I find any reference to one. Can't imagine what would get lubricated by moving a car ~25 feet. Maybe this is a new definition for the acronym 'FORD'.

Found Oxidation Right Der.

Haha, I didn't know there would be so many responses. I just thought one or two.

Jet.com has them also and if your a first time customer I think you get 15% off your first 3 purchases if that helps.

Well on my holiday rounds I stumbled upon a Walmart gift card, so I guess it will be the Deltran Battery Tender, as that's the one my local store carries. That's about the only way Walmart will get my patronage lol.

What is equally important as your charger is the battery itself IMO. The factory Varta battery in my 01 XJ8 lasted 8 years before it gave up. I replaced it with another Varta and used the same battery in my 99 car for 5 years before I scrapped the car and let the battery go with it.
The cheap "Lion" battery that was brand new in March 2016 and installed by the previous owner of my current 02 XJ8 loses charge very quickly if left a long time or is used on the ignition. I will be buying a Varta battery for this car when I do put it on the road full time, I have had Varta in all my cars and they are superior to brands such as Bosch, Lucas and Exide.

As far as chargers go, I have a little 4 amp charger made by Ring. 2 LEDs on it, one for telling you the power is on and one that gradually changes from red to green as the battery is charged. It does the job albeit slower than one that costs £100 more with the same end result. From dead flat it will take roughly 18-24 hours to charge a 100ah battery, but the 60ah battery fitted to my Triumph can be done in 6-8 hours.

Ended up going w/ NOCO Genius G1100, put it on this morning it registered my brand new battery @ 25% charged ?!, after several hours it went to only 50%. I think I have a faulty charger & am sending it back, because even after driving, I re-connected it was again @ 25%. Battery's new & alternator tests perfect, just inaccurate readings via the charger. I purchased it via Amazon Prime so returns are a breeze.

The saga continues lol.

The lights are not intended to indicate the state of charge of the battery, but rather to indicate the progress through the charging cycle. I have two different Noco chargers, and 3 cars, and what you describe is normal. On the Volvo V60 and Passat, the charger starts at 25%, but very rapidly goes through the light sequence until it gives green. The XJR always takes 5 or 10 Ah to charge, which on a G1100 is 5 to 10 hours. This suggests that the Jags chronically undercharge the battery a little, perhaps due to losses in the cabling from alternator to battery.

You just sent a perfectly good charger back.

Incorrect, the charger remains, as I figured out the schematics. The instructions included leave a lot to be desired.

Default Temp's down, thumb's up !

Well seems I got the charger just in time for the ever rare coastal NC snow & ice storm ! 3 straight days w/ low temps in the teens FH & icy precipitation (no driving nor cranking for 5 days) my car's usually dead after 3 days not factoring in the Artic temps. I just checked & she's 100% purring, ready to go ! NOCO Genius G1100 gets a big thumbs up.
