Does anyone know where I can get a usb adapter, or Bluetooth adapter for my 2001 XJ8 SPORT oem radio. (not premium radio) has 6 disc cd changer . thank you in advance for any help .

 

do a search for T605, I put one in my XJR, works great and streams music. there is some wire cutting involved, but it is minimal.

 

How's the sound quality when streaming music? And did you have to sacrifice the CD changer to interface with it? And do you have a write up? This sounds like exactly what I've been looking for!

Sounds quality is fine (I am not a huge audiophile, so YMMV) no interface, but you can tap into the output of the cd changer- I put in a CD of silent sounds. NOTE- if you run the CD input from the t605 from the RCA output of the t605, it will switch from CD to bluetooth streaming automatically when you start the bluetooth music, eliminating the need for the blank audio CD.

 

I followed the linked threads, and I am considering installing a T605. It seems as though that unit is kind of dated now. Is there not any newer units, with updated bluetooth technology, that would do the same thing?
Also, when streaming music, does the music only play on the front speakers as well?

EDIT: I withdraw the question. I bought a new T605 for $20, five minutes from my house last night. However it performs will be just fine.b
