Default USB/iPhone port?

In a circa 2000 XJR is there a aux or USB port in the audio system? If not, is there a way to wire one in without too much effort?

Thanks.

Have a look what I did in my thread here, it's pretty good and works well.

Or you can integrate a full Bluetooth receiver like a Parrot, and stream from your phone wireless. Works marvelous.

There's a thread in the forums about converting the cd changer to an aux input. As long as you have basic electrical experience, it's the best way to set up an aux input. https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...ctions-144735/

I also found this while looking about on the web, don't know how well it works but if it does, it's pretty foolproof. http://www.discountcarstereo.com/AUX-JAG.html

Go to jagrepair.com, Auxilary power point, there are instructions to fit 12v outlets to the glovebox and the boot/trunk.

Get a USB port that is a replacement for the cigar lighter ( not an adaptor ) and fit it to the glovebox.

I did this about 2 years ago, and is easy enough to do.

Or you could just replace the front or rear cigar lighter with the USB port, that wold be even easier.
