Default Vapor lock issue?

So this morning I started the car using the remote start. Went out after 5 mins or so, got in, put the key in and all seemed fine. Was sitting there for a minute and the engine started to sputter like it was losing power. Was getting a few error messages popping up...Traction Control Fail, Stability Control Fail, Engine in safe mode. So I turned the car off, it wouldn't restart on first try, so let it sit for a few seconds and tried again and it started fine. No error messages, no lose of power. I stopped for gas on the way to work and when I took the gas cap off it sucked in a huge amount of air. How likely is it that it was a vapor lock and that was causing the engine to sputter?

Unlikely as car was not super hot and modern fuel injected systems at 40psi should not have such issues if operating properly.

That valve had failed on mine & I couldn't find a second replacement after the first replacement failed shortly after fitting. Turns out you can pop the body open & remove the gubbins inside. Put the case back together & refit it so it looks totally standard. So any inspection you might have that checks it, sees what appears to be a complete working system.

Having said that. The amount of stories of imploding tanks suggests the pump will overcome the partial vacuum with no effect on the car running, I certainly didn't feel any performance difference when my car had that issue.

I have an extra CCV kicking around, let me know if you need it.
