More holistically, I'd have the car evaluated by a professional to see the full extent of the damages. No sense putting in a new hub if the unibody is bent and there is a bunch of other damage

Can you provide us with a picture of the exterior damage?

Ah, I left the car at work and I'm home now. But don't worry, the body is perfectly fine all around, a few scratches on the rear right but thats all. I must have scraped against the light pole while spinning. I looked under the car and honestly, everything seems fine except for the rear right hub carrier, spring, brake, and brake line. I think that's where most of the impact was. That rim is totally cracked into large pieces as well.

Fair point. I'll have my mechanic come and take a look at it first. He's a chill guy, so he shouldn't have trouble with doing it. He's the type of guy to only charge you for the gas he used to get to you.

I knew the rim would be toast. It’s a good thing that hub carrier is aluminum vs steel or else that energy would’ve carried even further. I think your best bet would be to get a complete rear end assembly and swap it over. I imagine that the right side axle took big hit and maybe caused some differential damage? 🤷‍♂️
Just swap your brakes over and perhaps renew the diff fluid while it’s out before going back in with another assembly. Something to consider.

I totally agree with the rear end assembly swap. No sense in making assumptions
that could exasperate you later.

Thanks for the advice. Yeah I might just do that instead. Let me see what the mechanic says in a couple weeks and I'll update then.
