Looks almost the same color as my VDP. IIRC, there is a 3 digit code on the drivers door that has the color code. It may even say INT above it.

 

Have you looked at the Color Code shown on the drivers side door edge.
Interior AND Exterior Color Codes are shown. Should be a 3 Digit Identifier, Mine is NED.

 

My '01 VDP is cashmere - code SDZ. Yours looks the same. But you ought to get the codes and commit them to memory. ;^)

Dude, I checked my parts car and it also has code SDZ on the door sticker. I thought it looked the same color as my VDP!

Turns out I was wrong on the sticker saying "INT." Its actually TRIM on the bottom right hand side of the sticker. Get at me with some pics of the parts you need and I will see what condition mine are in. Thanks

PS: Looks like you have a very nice interior there. The wood looks much better than my VDP! I will take care of that later on down the road though. I have bigger fish to fry at the moment, like the engine swap.

 

Oatmeal was for XJR cars and Cashmere was for XJ8 and VDP cars

 

I was just looking at your picture and wasn't paying attention at the time. Its a Pre- W350 so I am thinking it was Ivory because it is an VDP the XJR at the time was Oatmeal. Forgive me for making that mistake

I am UK based and have a 2002 XJ8 Sovereign. The trim is Ivory with Sable piping . The drivers seat is too badly worn and has a cut in it. I want to replace it and I have sourced a seat with good leather on it. The car it came out of it has been disposed of. The colour looks similar to mine in photographs. My trim code on the label says NED for Ivory. In the above trim charts it labels Ivory /Sable as MND, and Cashmere /Sable as MSZ. Do these codes appear anywhere on the leather? If not, how can I be sure I will get an Ivory/Sable seat ?? Thanks Bill W.

 

I was just looking one Jaguars color charts and SDX is Cashmere and NED is Ivory. My car even though the color code is SEL and is called Champaign, the actual color by Jaguar is called Barley and since I have black piping on mine the color is LJG when you order the seat cover. As I remember here in the US you only had three choices of interior colors, charcoal, oatmeal and Ivory, Oatmeal , Charcoal for XJR and Ivory for the other cars and possibly one other color for the other XJ's. Our 2002 XJ was Ivory with sable piping.

 

My car is Cashmere and it's a light beige colour, much darker than yours.

 

I spoke with Jaguar and they said back in 98-03 the colors for the XJ were the three I mentioned. X type had other colors and XK had other colors as well. The first picture or the Original post of the 02 is Ivory leather with Cashmere piping. So, I cant tell you anymore than Jaguar Cars told me. 04 was a total color change of interiors, still sporting Ivory but if you look they kept rehashing old names were different colors.
