What are the odds?
BOTH my wife's XJ8 AND my XK8 both started leaking coolant from the hose under the manifold at the same time.
Ask me how smart it was to save $30 by using the old hoses when I had the engines out.
Oh well, at least it will give me the opportunity to clean out the throttle body(s) while I am at it.

Update- I replaced them both today, it was alot easier than I had remembered, maybe because I have been there before. I took the time to clean up a few things in both cars and make some repairs in advance of future problems- ie I replaced the accordian type hose for the part load breather with a rubber vacuum line.
Interesting side effect- I can now HEAR the air going through the piping. I guess that is why Jaguar used the ribbed kind...I will be replacing with oem shortly. Anyone else run across this? At first I though it was a leaking manifold gasket (Wasnt happy) but when I pinched the rubber part load breather hose- voila! hissing stopped and car began to lose rpm.

I replaced ALL my coolant lines when the engine was out, it is easier for sure.
My heater electric pump failed later. Most auto parts tools sell this tool. It makes
it possible to change some of the heater hoses that are hard to get to.

You were wise to fix the small leak before it became a huge problem.
Coventry West near Atlanta has a hose kit with EVERYTHING for under $400.
