Are you looking for a new part or a used one? Have you considered having yours rebuilt?

Hi jrb53,

If your 2000 X308 has the ZF 5HP24 transmission, I would think there would be many sources of the parts you need.

The Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust lists the control valve and pressure regulators as still available:

Control Valve Assembly-3.2/4.0 Litre-V8 - Parts For XJ Series from (V)812317 to (V)F59525 (X308) | Jaguar Heritage Parts UK

You could try jaguarmerriamparts.com, the Jaguar dealer in Merriam, Kansas, who sells Jaguar parts at discount prices.

Also, I would think that any transmission shop that repairs ZF gearboxes could help you (the same transmission was also used in many BMWs).

Here's the spare parts catalog:

http://www.zf.com/media/media/docume...sa_4/5HP24.pdf

And here's the repair manual:

I hope this helps. By the way, how did you diagnose the problem with your valve body and pressure regulator?

Cheers,

Don

Thanks for the info .I had the transmission fluid and filter changed.before that every now and then I would get from 1st gear a thump on take off, which is now better than it was, after reading up on several threads on the subject I am getting pressure spikes which are related to worn regulator valve and body. so before I have to rebuild the transmission,I would change them as I could do it without having to removing the transmission. other than the spikes now and then the transmission shifts perfectly and runs like a dream. still I would like your input on that thought. thank you jrb53

It does sound like the valve body is worn. I have seen a repair kit in the past. It has a reamer and oversize valve, if I recall correctly. I have included a link to Sunbelt, a valve body rebuild service, but I have no experience of the quality of their work.
