Hello again. I have a curious sound coming from the passenger side of the dash but lower down. It sounds like a motor whirling slowly in the background but continues even after I shut off the HVAC system. It stops very quickly after the engine is shut down. Any thoughts? It does not change if i try to change the HVAC settings for temp or direction.

 

the ecu has a cooling fan that vents into the cabin in the area you pin pointed. it's a standard type 12V 80mm by 80mm computer cooling fan. might need replacing if noisy.
