Default Window clunks when winding down - how to adjust?

Hi there,

My drivers window makes a clunk sound when it begins to wind down and when it winds up it seems to keep "trying" (for a few seconds) to wind up further even when I've released the button and the window is closed.

I'm not sure if this is just an adjustment issue or if something else is going on.

Any advice appreciated!

Regards,
Troy.

First thing you need to do is remove the door panel. Be patient with this next step. Keep the window switch hooked up but support the bottom of the door panel on top if your foot and operate the window. I suspect that the window regulator bolts are loose or that the guide rails on the door are loose. Either way you have to operate the window up and down to find out what's loose. Don't let the battery drain too much unless you have the engine running.
