Default X308 AC condenser & dryer/receiver replacement

Dear all,

I'm about to replace the AC condenser and the dryer/receiver for my 2001 X308.

I have seen the manual and they talk about removing both radiators, which would include flushing of coolant and removal of tranmission fluid cooler pipeline. So not only AC system needs to be refilled afterwards, but also the main coolant system and the trans fluid.

Is my understanding correct? Is there no other, less invasive way to replace the AC condenser?

This is the part of the manual which mentions it: https://www.carmanualsonline.info/ja...anual/181#1808

Thank you!

condenser is sandwiched behind the radiator and intercooler rad and the lines loop around. removing the radiator takes at most 4 minutes

just take the bumper off and try

It took me 4 hours to remove radiator assembly and cuttong the three lines: trans oil, radiator fluid, and AC lines.

I released AC pressure via the high-pressure valve which is located near the front right light.

The new AC condenser was then just put on the radiator. The AC dryer was swapped very easily once the pressure was released from AC system.

Now I need to vacuum-test & refill AC from scratch. Do you know of a tutorial about this?

Thanks
