I have a 2001 Jaguar XJ8, however sometimes when I lock it the rear interior lights will remain on, if they stay on after some time the alarm will sound. If I lock and unlock the car a few times eventually the lights will go out and the car will be fine, sometimes they go out straight away, but not very often. I'm getting no issues with "bonnet/boot/door open" on the display while driving as some posts suggest, so doesn't anyone have any idea what may be causing this?
