Default X308 Headlight Covers

Has anybody tried these?

Jaguar XJ8 Head Lamp Headlamp Cover Set 1998 2003 | eBay

I searched and couldn't find any info here.

I like the idea of being able to protect the headlights AND the surrounding trim.

That said, they look like it would be a PITA to keep clean.

Dunno how one could clean between the covers and the car.

Best just to buy the 3M lens covers, my car had them installed at the dealers originally, when I bought it I refreshed because of discolouring, but the lenses underneath were and are like brand new. A good addition, along with HID

I am inclined to agree with you.

These covers would drive me crazy if I couldn't clean under them and the dealer says they are not an easy install, so just installing them for road trips would not be easy.

Thanks for your help as always Sean!

I know that this reply is a bit dated, but my 03 Vanden Plas has them on it. Had them when I bought it. Apparently they did their job on at least one occasion (before I had it) as the left side has a hole in it (about the size of a pea) from, what I'm guessing was, road debris. I have been looking for a replacement daily for almost week without any luck... They are not hard to install, remove, clean inside and under, and replace as I've done so on mine several times. If you don't keep on it, then muck and other debris can build up inside them. If I can't locate a replacement by May, I will remove them both and get some sort of protective film, but then I get to go through and find the right film... With that being said, have you come across anymore??? I'd be quite pleased to get the left side replaced. It's not that noticeable as it's near the bottom, but still...

I found a new set from Terry's Jaguar out of Kalamazoo, MI. About $115 delivered. Ask for Buzz. He's helped me out with a couple parts so far. www.terrysjag.com
