Default X308 Rear View Mirror Disassembly

I am curious if anyone knows how to disassemble the rear view mirror? Not remove it from the windscreen but separate the housing of the actual mirror. My mirror has the common fluid issue and I have come across a mirror in good shape and want to swap out the glass and any other internals that may be necessary.
Thanks!

To clarify, the mirror I came across does not have the sensitivity adjustment on the backside like the one that is in the car so I don't want to use it as a replacement.

If the replacement is not a dimming mirror you can not turn it into one.

When the liquid crystal leaks out, the only fix is to replace the mirror -- or to get another glass from another dimming mirror that does not have any issues with the glass .. that will not be easy.

I would look on e-bay for a replacement. Years ago the mirror manufacturer was offering replacement way past warranty - but I believe they stopped doing this 4 or 5 years ago.

I wrote to the company that did these mirrors...you can find all that info on other thread here on this site.
They told me the same thing others have said:
"Thank you for the inquiry. Unfortunately, we do not have the plastics in
house to build you a mirror as a pre-exchange. However, if you would like to
send your mirror into us, as a repair and return, we will gladly exchange
out the defective glass cell. The cost for repair is $95 (including
shipping/handling) which will be retained up front prior to the repair.
Customers in Canada will be charged $120(USD) and all other international
repairs $175(USD).
**For international customers please note that your country may have
additional surcharge fees upon the return of your product. These charges are
not included in the price above and will not be paid by Sybesma's
Electronics"

@yeldogt. Thanks for the feedback. I apologize for not being clear. I did find an auto-dimming mirror from E-bay with good glass. What it does not have is the sensitivity knob for the auto headlights like my stock one does. Could I still use the glass from inside the one I found. I wouldn't think that sensitivity knob is connected to the glass cell...

@crazyivan1958. Thanks for the repsonse. I contacted Stacy a few months back and found out the same info. If I cannot for some reason open up the mirror I found on Ebay and use the glass from inside it, then I will send mine in for this swap out. I would really like to perform the swap out myself though. As I mentioned to yeldogt above, the Ebay one I found does not have the auto headlight sensitivity knob but I cant imagine that is linked to the mirror glass but not sure.
