X308 VDP leather surfaces
I just did my first Leatherique treatment on my new-to-me '03 VDP. My question is not about what product to use -- though next time I may try the Groits products. It is this: I have presumed that just the seating surfaces (where you park your tailbone and your back) are leather as has been the experience in my '89 XJ40, '97 X300L and, I think, my '06 X350 VDP. I have assumed that the sides of the seats and the leather-looking stuff that surrounds the seat base as well as the headrests are vinyl. Is that correct, or should I have used the leather product on them as well?
The bulk of the on-line discussion I see revolves mostly around how to dye seats and what dye/cleaner products are preferred. I'd like to pin down exactly which surfaces are leather in my car.
Thanks, friends.

eliot,
Pretty sure ALL of the surfaces of your 2003 VDP seats are leather, including the headrests, as well as the center arm rests and door arm rests.
SeatsRestore have excellent color-matched dye products.

On the Vanden Plas models it is normally the entire seat which is leather, although this varied from year to year. The headrests are always leather, even in the X-Type!
