my windscreen washer isn't working and appears to be the pump, the bottle seems to be underneath the car , can anyone assist with the position of the washer motor and how easy it is to replace?
Haven't replaced a washer pump myself, but did find this info on the forum. Seems the pump is under the washer reservoir located behind/under the front right headlight.
Here are a couple of pics which may help..........
you may want to disconnect the hoses and use one of those cans of compressed air (used to blow out electronics) at each exposed end.
I found a bunch of splooge in one of the hoses and after doing that everything works fine...except that the hose from the cowl to the wiper (part no 9 in the diagram above) disintegrated.
That's a separate issue but the hose I could find to replace it wouldn't fit the space Jaguar had allowed thru the wiper arm parts.
My wiper sits without the plastic cover over the attachment nut at the cowl now as I couldn't seem to find the correct part anywhere.
i live in shitty old new orleans where the roads are in 3rd world hell disrepair and the air is full of yellow fever carrying bull mosquitos. While going over an especially vicious pothole this entire assembly smashed onto the ground and was destroyed. I've still got the motor (Part no. 1 in above diagram) kicking around in my trunk. It seems like its in good shape and its a tiny part so if anybody ever wants one for free plus shipping, let me know.
