Hi, my driver's side front seat has had it and I'm thinking of replacing it rather than having it recarmelized. My question is the car is a 98 xj8 vdp, will a new xj8 seat bolt right in, electrics are a simple swap etc. what about any other models like an S type, are they compatible? Just want to widen my pool of replacement seats as much as possible. Going to replace the pair.

 

The XJ8, XJR and VDP seats are all interchangable. I swapped my XJR seats with VDP seats, front and rear. No issues at all. However, I dont know if other model seats will fit...such as S-Type.

 

okay thanks a lot, that's pretty much what i figured. i've never seen the interior of an S type so who knows.
