Just trawling around ebay, and came across this;
Standard Motor Products TH397 Throttle Position Sensor TPS | eBay
They claim it fits 4litre V8
$169
There are a lot more for sale now.
Any thoughts on this. Mine is ok at the moment, but I figure it is only a matter of time.

The S type carb/ecu are different systems by different manufacturers that one won't fit - there's a long running thread about our tps and the ones available (in the XK8-R forum) but no testing yet....
